TAP™ Self-Evaluation Quiz

Complex trauma patterns don’t fit into neat boxes. They’re fluid, spectrum-based and above all, signs of healthy adaptations to impossible experiences.

The Trauma Adaptation Profile (TAP-Profile)™ was developed to help both clinicians and trauma survivors understand these patterns more clearly.

The TAP-Profile yields six research-based patterns that develop from complex trauma.

There are two levels of the TAP-Profile.

This Quiz is part of Level One.

The TAP-Profile Self Evaluation Quiz (this one) is an educational and informational approach to the patterns. You get feedback on your possible patterns after you complete the quiz. The feedback is hypothesis only. Compare the results with your lived experiences. And remember, its for education and information use only!

It’s helpful to also look through the TAP-Beliefs Tree below, to see what beliefs might have developed along with your pattern … and that might be getting in the way now.

Level Two: The TAP-SF (18-item) and TAP-LF (36-item) assessments, both with online scoring and analysis systems, are undergoing field testing to establish psychometric reliability and construct validity.

Licensed mental health professionals are invited to join the beta validation phase.
